Less is more: In the Rupal Light 18 alpine backpack, we’ve deliberately eliminated superfluous features without compromising on alpine functionality like the rope attachment point, loops for two ice tools or trekking poles and straps for efficient compression.
The sleek design of the lightweight alpine backpack and our Ergoshape FoM (Freedom of Movement) shoulder straps guarantee maximum freedom of movement while climbing: two individually adjustable and detachable sternum straps make it possible to pull the straps far inward when needed, giving your shoulder joints even more room to move.
The Rupal Light 18 alpine backpack is designed for light loads so it doesn’t need a padded hipbelt. Instead, a slim (and detachable) strap with a side release buckle keeps the load stable at your body’s center of gravity. The cover of the pack makes it easy to open or close the main compartment with just one hand. Inside you’ll find a hydration bladder compartment; outside there’s a practical zip pocket for topo maps, phone & more.
